As part of BMW’s Natural Interaction which is found in the Vision iNEXT, Shy-Tech includes the ‘normal’ surfaces that instantly transform into user interfaces. For example, the Jacquard cloth in the rear comes to life at the touch of a finger and can control the music playing.
PICK YOUR MODE.
The BMW Vision iNEXT BMW comes with Personal CoPilot technology that lets you decide between Boost mode – where you actually take the wheel – and Ease mode, which lets you relax while the iNEXT puts its highly automated driving skills to good use.
Intelligent Beam is a state-of-the-art feature in the iNEXT that serves as both a dynamic reading light and an interactive projection screen. For example, text in a printed book can be supplemented by images and interactive graphics, all of which can be controlled by touch.
AHEAD OF ITS TIME.
PRACTICALLY INVISIBLE, ALWAYS AVAILABLE.
At first glance, the only displays are in the driver’s area. In the future, technology will no longer be the focus; people will be. Surfaces such as wood or fabric are controllable via gesture or voice control, so digital technologies only become visible when the driver or passengers want to use them.
