Armour.
In the BMW X5 Protection VR6, door joints, window frames and gaps in the body are reinforced with steel armour, preventing potential risk to the passenger cell.
Multi-layered protective glass.
Inside the BMW X5 Protection VR6, the driver and passengers are protected by 30-mm thick tough protective glass coated with polycarbonate for splinter protection.
Reinforced roof and floor armour.
The BMW X5 Protection VR6 comes with underbody splinter protection as standard, which can be further reinforced upon request. In addition to the standard ballistic protection, stronger reinforcement for the roof is available as optional equipment.

Audible and visual signal equipment.
Our signal equipment includes a detachable rotating light, flashing lights in the kidney grille and a sound sequence signal. All elements can be controlled centrally by the control module in front of the gear selector lever.
Rear flashing lights.
Additional flashing lights on the rear window increase the visibility of your BMW X5 Protection VR6 and warn traffic behind you.
Lowerable front door windows.
The front side window on the driver's side can be lowered and raised electrically. A power window is also available for the passenger's side.
Pennant holders for diplomatic use.
Pennant holders are available for attaching official flags to the left or right side of the vehicle.
