Services and apps in the BMW M2 Coupé.

The BMW M2 Coupé offers unlimited possibilities to keep you connected with the outside world. For example, you can use the BMW M Laptimer App to record your driving performance, ensure there’s never a dull moment with Online Entertainment and keep yourself moving with Real Time Traffic Information.

BMW M Laptimer app.

With the BMW M Laptimer app, driving data from the racetrack can be accurately recorded, bend by bend, and then analysed with the aim of improving driving performance. The app collects precise data from BMW sensors and shows selected values in the Control Display. The system is operated via the iDrive Controller.
While it is recording, the app shows your GPS position, speed, forward acceleration, lateral acceleration (G-force), lap times and acceleration up to a certain speed (e.g. from 0 to 62mph).
The recorded data can then be posted as a snapshot to social networks, or saved and sent via email.

Online Entertainment.

Online Entertainment.
Via the integrated infotainment system, Online Entertainment offers constant access to more than 30 million music titles from Napster or Deezer. In addition, the music is available wherever listening is convenient – every other supported device also has access to the music titles, even outside of the car. Easily and conveniently.

BMW ConnectedDrive Services.

Fitted as standard, BMW ConnectedDrive Services provides the driver with a wide range of information, entertainment and service features while on the road.
These include BMW Online, which gives you access to current, localised information such as weather, news, an online search powered by GoogleTM and also office functions. In the Applications menu, it is also possible to assemble an individualised array of services such as webcams, fuel price information, parking information, as well as travel and hotel guides.
Convenient, secure and unlimited access to selected smartphone apps is also included, as is access to the BMW ConnectedDrive Store, where services and apps can be ordered and extended any time and anywhere. ConnectedDrive Services offers all this and more, making every trip in a BMW a real experience.

Real Time Traffic Information.
Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI) collects current traffic information and relays information about delays almost instantly, with the best alternative routes being suggested accordingly. On-Street Parking Information is included for the efficient search for parking space.

BMW Emergency Call.

BMW Emergency Call guarantees fast, targeted assistance round-the-clock as well as support from trained staff – in the driver's native language, even when they're abroad. If an accident takes place involving the activation of an airbag or the seat belt tensioners, a BMW emergency call is automatically issued. Relevant details such as the exact position of the car, the severity of the accident and the possible risk of injury to occupants are transmitted to a BMW Call Centre via the car’s built-in SIM card, i.e. independent of a private mobile phone. The BMW Call Centre will inform the nearest rescue coordination centre and provide assistance over the phone until the rescue services arrive. The emergency call can also be triggered manually for example - in case other road users require help.
