As Official Sponsor of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, BMW had yet another amazing year in 2018. As part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations, fans saw some familiar sights, like the BMW Pavilion and BMW Stable Yard, but also some new attractions, such as the new BMW 8 Series Coupé.

Make every second count.

BMW wanted guests to make the most out of every moment in 2018. That’s why they went all out and created a base for fans to immerse themselves in BMW’s latest vehicles, while also having access to food, drinks, shopping and even motorsport legends.

Key highlights of 2018:​

  • The BMW 8 Series Coupé had its UK premiere, taking to the hill along with its racing car sibling, the BMW M8 GTE
  • The BMW M Performance Parts Concept car also had its world premiere, showcasing BMW M's latest developments to reduce weight, improving driving dynamics and enhance visual appeal
  • Guests could get up close and personal with the stunning BMW Concept Z4 and BMW Concept M8 Gran Coupé
  • With a time of 52.58 seconds, Andrew Jordan won the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) shootout in his BMW 125i M Sport for BMW Pirtek Racing
  • A vast range of BMW cars, including the M2 Competition, M3 CS, M5, i8, i3s, 5 Series Plug-in Hybrid, 6 Series GT, 4 Series Gran Coupe, X3, X4 and X2 were on show

Story of Luxury.

BMW took over Goodwood Stable Yard for the UK debut of its stunning new BMW 8 Series Coupé. It appeared alongside a line-up of luxury products including the new BMW i8 Roadster and the BMW Concept M8 Gran Coupé – plus a very special 1995 850 CSi painted by David Hockney as part of the brand’s famous Art Car series. What’s more, continuing the BMW Gallery feel, a sculpture from the Cass Sculpture Foundation was also on display.

Once again, the historic Hillclimb brought Goodwood alive. A mix of current models and historic classics were lined up and ready to make their mark on one of British Motorsport’s most iconic Hillclimbs. BMW vehicles that competed in the iconic Goodwood Hillclimb included:

• BMW 8 Series - First Glance category
• BMW M Performance Parts Concept - First Glance category
• BMW i8 Roadster - Supercar category
• Historic BMW cars from Le Mans Motorsport including the M8 GTE
