The BMW i3 strikes a balance of sharp, sporty lines on the exterior and an open and flowing interior. The external dual-tone colour schemes work perfectly with the tactile fabrics and natural colours used for the cabin. This is all achieved using recyclable materials where possible to support the BMW i goal of sustainable design and production.
Constantly striving for better performance is at the heart of what we do, which is why the BMW i3 94Ah high-voltage battery has a customer-orientated range of up to 125 miles. Improvement in the charging process, development in the BMW i Wallbox and the increase of public charge points mean the BMW i3 charges faster and more conveniently than ever before.
The new BMW i3 and BMW i3s come with all the technology you would expect from a BMW. Driver assistance systems such as Park Assist (not available on the BMW i3s), Active Cruise Control with Stop&Go function and Traffic Jam Assist help to make every journey as seamless as possible. And with BMW Connected+ you can send route guidance to your car, share live trip status via SMS and control the climate in the car before you leave the house.
From day one through to final production, sustainability is a core concept in the design and manufacturing of the new BMW i3 and BMW i3s; from the use of materials such as Kenaf throughout the interior to the production line in Leipzig which is powered completely by green wind power. Even once the car completes its service, 95% of the BMW i3 can be recycled and reused for the next range of BMW i vehicles.
