Connected mobility in the BMW i3.

A fully sustainable system requires a fully comprehensive network: with an integrated SIM card, the BMW i3 has full connectivity, allowing the use of BMW i ConnectedDrive services. To make sure you never run out of power, the mobility service ChargeNow offers the world’s largest network of public charging stations.

Connected navigation.

Simply open the dynamic range map in the optional navigation system for a clear overview of your current range. If the remaining battery charge is not sufficient, the system will suggest other ways of reaching your destination and show unoccupied charging stations on the navigation screen. In cities, one particularly useful feature is intermodal routing. This can help save precious time in heavy traffic by recommending alternative means of transport and guiding you to Park & Ride facilities.

BMW i Remote App.

With the BMW i Remote App you can keep an eye on your BMW i3 whenever you want via smartphone or smartwatch, checking the battery charge and the electric driving range. If your BMW i3 is connected to a charging station, you can track the charging processes remotely. This helps you time your departure to ensure that your BMW i3 is fully charged and preconditioned. And if you wish, the app will also rate the efficiency of your driving.

The Apple Watch now offers an additional means of accessing the functions of the BMW i Remote App. The smartwatch is a clever complement to the connected smartphone and offers you many relevant status details. Examples include the electrical range, the battery status or information on any doors and windows that are open as well as a large number of practical remote functions and alternative routes – and all of these located directly on your wrist.

ChargeNow – quick and easy charging everywhere.

ChargeNow offers a comprehensive charging service when on the move within the world’s largest network of public charging stations. The charging stations within the ChargeNow network are displayed via the BMW i ConnectedDrive services in the navigation unit, via the BMW i Remote App. Use and payment takes place quite simply and without the need for cash via the ChargeNow card. Once a month you receive a detailed statement of the costs incurred.

DriveNow – Impromptu mobility for every occasion.

DriveNow is the CarSharing Service operated by BMW i, MINI and Sixt. Currently only available in north-east London, customers can reserve and hire cars flexibly whenever and wherever they need them. Available cars can be located via the DriveNow app, the website or directly on the street. The customer card or app function as an electronic key.
