THE NEW BMW M5.

Balance takes many forms.

0-62mph in 3.4 seconds*, the first ever carbon roof on an M5, intense performance with the M xDrive all-wheel drive system and high-precision gear changes with the eight-speed M Steptronic transmission.

And that's not all.

Below is the key information that you need to know about the new BMW M5. You can also register your interest and be among the first to know even more.

0-62 IN 3.4 SECONDS*:
M TWINPOWER TURBO 8-CYLINDER ENGINE.

A power output of 441kW (600hp) and a torque of up to 750Nm; the M TwinPower Turbo 8-cylinder petrol engine in the new BMW M5 leaves nothing to be desired.

The high-revving V8 Bi-turbo engine has two TwinScroll turbochargers with variable turbine geometry, High-Precision Injection and a fully variable Valvetronic valve control. Combined with the eight-speed Steptronic transmission and M xDrive all-wheel drive system, adrenaline-charged driving experiences are guaranteed.

DISTINCTIVELY M:
NEW CARBON ROOF.

It's clear that the new BMW M5 is derived from the same genes that created the rest of the M family, yet it is also a pioneer amongst the pack. Key to its weight loss from its predecessor is the addition of the new carbon roof; the first to ever be installed on an M5.

Other distinctive M features include: 20" M light alloy wheels style 706M, M Twin Tailpipes, striking M kidney grille with High-gloss Black double slats and M mirror caps with aerodynamic winglet.

FOUR WHEELS ARE BETTER THAN TWO: M xDRIVE.

Through combining the agility and precision of the standard drive with the smoothness and traction of all-wheel drive, M xDrive with Active M Differential allows for even more intense performance in the new BMW M5.

M xDrive controls the torque distribution between the front and rear axle via a regulated clutch, engaging the front axle only when it senses that the back wheels have reached the absolute limit of their grip. In doing so, maximum driving dynamics are achieved on every road.

PERFORMANCE-ORIENTATED:
TECHNOLOGIES IN THE NEW BMW M5.

The technologies adopted in the new BMW M5 have been tailored to help achieve peak driving performance. For example, the M specific instrument cluster features five displays: speedometer, rev counter, fuel gauge, oil temperature and fuel consumption. Also featured is a status indicator for the M Driving dynamics systems: steering, suspension, engine, Drivelogic and M xDrive.

The M specific BMW Head-Up Display and improved Speed Limit Information, as well as the optional Driving Assistant Plus with Active Cruise Control with Stop&Go function, all exhibit the technological prowess of the new BMW M5.

OPTIMUM REFINEMENT:
INSIDE AND OUT.

The new BMW M5 has a number of features – inside and out – to make each journey as comfortable as possible. For example, the Comfort Access system allows you to simply approach your new BMW M5, open the door and press the Start button, thus eliminating the need to search your bag or pockets for your keys. Your unique key is recognised remotely by the Comfort Access sensors.

Inside, the new M Multifunctional seats with illuminated M5 logo reinforce the car's athleticism, with multiple adjustment options allowing maximum comfort, while lower seat bases and high side bolsters provide lateral support.
