M Performance TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder petrol engine.

The M240i doesn’t just thrill with its outstanding power, it also boasts impressive agility and suitability for everyday use. The M Performance TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder petrol engine with 3.0 litres of capacity combines Valvetronic including Double-VANOS and High Precision Injection with a TwinScroll turbocharger. Extremely energetic behaviour with high torque even at low speeds and its wide rev range are trademarks of this powerful engine. The result is maximum torque from 500 Nm with average consumption of 36.2 [39.8] mpg. The M Performance TwinPower turbo six-cylinder petrol engine accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.8 [4.6] seconds. Direct power and energetic behaviour are just as much a part of the petrol engine of the BMW 2 Series Coupé as its running costs. The 135 kW (184 hp) BMW 220i has a maximum torque of 270 Nm with average consumption of 44.8 [47.1] mpg. The intelligent BMW TwinPower Turbo technology – comprising TwinScroll turbocharger, Valvetronic including Double-VANOS and High Precision Injection – provides for impressive performance and high torque with simultaneously lowered consumption. The innovative turbocharging technology, common-rail direct injection and the aluminium lightweight construction are what make it possible: the four-cylinder diesel engines in the BMW 2 Series Coupé with proven BMW TwinPower Turbo technology combine high economy and low emissions with impressive performance. The BMW 220d masterfully proves its efficiency with an average consumption value of 58.9 [64.2] mpg and CO2 emissions of 125 [117] g/km. The BMW 218d* achieves 62.8 [64.2] mpg achieving CO2 values of 119 [117] g/km. Another particularly efficient engine is the BMW 225d* with automatic transmission, which with 160 kW (218 hp) and CO2 emissions of 124 g/km achieves 60.1 mpg.
