A PERFECT FIT.

USB audio interface.

Get in and play immediately – the USB audio interface lets you integrate your MP3 player, Apple iPods, USB sticks and mobile phones seamlessly with the BMW Audio system. Music tracks are played in hi-fi quality via the loudspeakers and can be controlled using either buttons on the steering wheel, iDrive, the voice control system or radio buttons, according to the options available in your vehicle.

Easy listening: USB audio interface.

How do you navigate through a library of 10,000 songs? Preferably on the road using the vehicle's control functions. Virtually all common MP3 players, Apple iPods and USB sticks can be integrated effortlessly with a BMW Audio system. The title and album cover are displayed in the Control Display or radio display. Having the USB connection in the central console enables the music players or an Apple iPhone to be controlled directly. All common compression formats (MP3, AAC, WAV and WMA) as well as playback lists in M3U format are supported. Integrating an Apple iPod or iPhone also requires the BMW cable adapter, which is available as an optional accessory.

In order to conveniently connect mobile telephones with integrated MP3 players in the central console a special snap-in adapter with USB function is required  to play back the audio files stored in the mobile telephone (available via Genuine BMW Accessories). You can obtain the appropriate USB snap-in adapter from your BMW Dealer. It connects the telephone – for better reception – with the vehicle's external aerial and charges the battery.
