BMW Rugby - Driving the Ultimate Performance.

In September 2012, BMW and the RFU announced a ground-breaking four year partnership naming BMW as the Official Vehicle of England Rugby. This partnership will see a commitment to support various levels of the elite game through an integrated programme that will help to develop the future of England Rugby.
An integral element of this is developing the next generation of English rugby talent through the BMW Performance Academy.  By supporting players from the age of 15 through their journey to the senior squad, BMW can help to shape the future of England Rugby.
The BMW Performance Academy identifies the key players of tomorrow, and supports their development today, to ensure the growth and sustainability of the national team.

The BMW Performance Academy.

An initial pool of players will be selected by the RFU International Performance Development staff for the BMW Performance Academy, from across the existing elite age-grade development programmes, who have a chance of playing for England in the RWC in 2019.
Based on their considered potential to graduate to the elite England team, members of the BMW Performance Academy will receive tailored support to help them progress over the next 2 to 4 years.
The player, club and the RFU will work together to create an Individual Performance Plan (IPP) which sits alongside and complements the players club plan to ensure that the bespoke skills, behaviours and physical qualities required for that particular individual are accelerated. The close relationship with the club in the development of this plan is very important to its success and a vital component to ensure a consistent approach.
BMW will facilitate the sharing of expertise and skills held by the array of BMW Ambassadors, Olympians, TV personalities and industry leaders to impart knowledge to Academy members on a range of topics.
