Paul Casey wins 2009 BMW PGA Championship.

England's Paul Casey clinched a dramatic victory at the 2009 BMW PGA Championship. Starting on -13, three shots clear of second-placed Søren Kjeldsen and four shots ahead of rising star Rory McIlroy, Casey was actually forced to fend off an almighty charge from compatriot Ross Fisher, who reeled Casey, picking up six shots over the first twelve holes. However, the birdies eventually dried up for Fisher, who had to settle for a hard-fought second place.
Paul Casey held off a gritty challenge from Ross Fisher to win the European Tour's flagship event, the 2009 BMW PGA Championship. |
